Reparations: Another Give me, give me program. I was never a slave, but I want it, is the attitude. Ever heard of the word EARN??
After the civil war black people (non white indentured servants) were given money, livestock, and land if they wanted it. they got a leg up that no European immigrants got. Those pictures of those Midwest white people living in mud brick (sod) houses in the 1860’s are the families of the large farmers of today. Those Europeans got nothing from the government and often ended up killed by bandits or Indians.
Don’t pretend that somehow every white person was on some gravy train. they were not. Yet here were are 170 years later (five generations and these lazy black people want to live off the work of the white people.
I think we need a law making it illegal to even ask for any kind of reparations for something you were not directly part of. Further the law needs to make it a felony for a judge to even allow your complaint into the court.
