This is so tragic and outrageous. Thoughts and prayers to the victim’s family. I hope you win the lawsuit. It doesn’t mention if the murderer is a citizen, an documented immigrant or an illegal alien. The biggest issue is the judicial system. This tragedy could have been prevented by keeping this criminal behind bars for past crimes. The 3 strikes you’re out program was also a good deterrent. This is also another classic example of why we need to reopen mental institutions that should have never been shuttered in the first place.
I’m a native Californian but I moved in 1994 due to the cost of living. It sure has multiple issues now. CA is way worse than when I lived there but Downey itself was always an iffy area even in the 90’s and before.
