Citizens are turning into human livestock that are unwilling to push back against their exploiters even as they are being led to the abattoir. People have been bred (not biologically, but culturally and institutionally) into docile underlings, conditioned by education systems to prioritize compliance over creativity, by workplaces to accept unwavering adherence to bylaws that benefit only shareholders, and by social structures to obey even at the cost of their own wellbeing.
Nancy Pelosi told the whole world how bad the ACA truly was when she said “We have to pass the bill BEFORE you can find out what’s in it”. She knew that if the American public knew what was really in the bill, most people would be against it.
